We're back...

We have had so much going on the last couple weeks. It's been great, but very hard to post regularly.
As most already know, we got in from camp at the Wild's on Saturday evening, full day Sunday, as usual, and then Monday morning we had another Magnificent Monday scheduled for the children at church. The teens were tremendous help. If you aren't familiar, Magnificent Monday is a one day Vacation Bible School with the purpose of having fun with the kids AND giving the teens hands-on experience that we hope will help then in children's ministries later. The theme this week was a sports theme with games, decor, the lesson, and then, we took them to a Richmond Braves baseball game( minor league team)! We had a wonderful day! I'll try to post some pictures as soon as I can.

Gone for a week

No, it's not really vacation, although we are in the beautiful mountains of North Carolina and no, I have not been in the church office for several days. What a wonderful week it was for the 4th of July. We were able to leave town for a few days and visit Jeanene's family in Rural Retreat, VA. We had a great time with her dad, mom, Jada and even Jamin and Joy were with us. Praise God for family! The mean so much to us.
