The Divens Family in Florida

Here are a couple of pics and a video we thought you might enjoy.

Jarrod enjoyed the rock climbing wall. He did very well!

It has warmed up enough for the kids to play outside.

Jarrod had an awesome catch in his last t-ball game.

Well, I'm back. Hope you enjoy catching up on the last weeks of the Divens' family. We've had a blast making the memories to share!

About a month ago Jase and I decided to plan an anniversary trip, and then three weeks later I found myself on board a Huge cruise ship. Check out some pictures on our facebook page if you can www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=2011541&l=48e57&id=1239609723

For those it doesn't work out for, here are a few pictures from mine and Jase's Southern Caribbean Cruise. . .

LAST, but definitely not least . . .thank you to my parents for keeping the kiddos while we were away(this was not easy for especially me to be away from them for so long). Jarrod did a great job being BIG BROTHER to Jordan and helping Grammy. I know he had a good time playing trains with Uncle Bill, Beating Kevin at UNO, Playing cars with Grammy,Going to the Police Department with Anthony, Getting in wood & going to work with Pawpaw & Uncle Sam, Playing with Aunt Kit, Chandra and Aunt Di, Visiting Granny's and Grandpa's, and if I left something out, I'm sorry. You all kept them busy or maybe I should say, They kept y'all busy!:) Jordan is crawling very well now thanks to Jada and Chandra. . . Her personal coaches! She perfected that at Grammy's house. I'm planning on another trip to Good 'Ol Virginia between Thanksgiving and Christmas. Thanks everybody!! Love you all!!
As far as the Cruise, it was a wonderful trip full of great memories and we are so thankful that it worked out for us to go. I'm ready to go next week . . .if I can take my kids this time!:)

What a wonderful time we have with our precious children!

I wanted to share a couple of new pictures from yesterday at the park.
If you know Jordan, you know she holds her tongue like this a lot. Thought this was pretty cute!
Almost 6 months old
Jarrod was making a castle in the gravel equip with all the necessities: a mote, alligators, soldiers, and cannons. He says to me sometimes," Momma, don't you just like it when I use my 'magination?"
And I can't forget to mention that He rode his bike for the first time on Monday WITHOUT training wheels!! A VERY BIG DEAL!!:)

K5 and 5 MONTHS OLD

Several milestones have been met in the past two weeks. Jarrod started Kindergarten September 2nd and Jordan is now 5 months old. Can you believe it!

Jarrod is doing great. We are homeschooling at the present. Right now, he knows just about everything we are studying. I'm still following the Lesson Plans though until he gets in the swing of things, then I'm sure we will pick up the pace. Both he and Jordan had checkups this week at the doctors office. It's so hard to believe how quickly they grow. Jarrod is a solid 50 pounds and

Jordan is now 16 pounds!

Speaking of Jordan, she is rolling over, back to front, and sitting up like a pro(has been for about 3 weeks now). She likes bananas, but that is as far as I've tested. She still does NOT like cereal(I really don't blame her. Have you ever tasted the stuff?). Still no teeth, but she is chewing on ANYTHING she can get her hands on. Talking about hands, that reminded me, she has discovered hers and it is so funny to watch her look and play with them.

One of our teens from Michigan got to stay for several days with us on the way back to college in Pensacola, FL two weeks ago. Thanks Dana! We had a really good time. Jarrod says he misses you and hopes you will come again to play policeman and cowboys. We are so proud of you!

Thought you might enjoy these pictures from the last couple of weeks. . .

Jase went with Josh(brother), Jenny(sister-in-law), and Sam(friend) up to Lake Michigan on a fishing trip two weeks ago. They caught some pretty good size fish! Josh and Jenny caught the big ones-a King Salmon for each!

Jase's Catch?

Much better!:)
What a pair!

We had a really good visit with Jessica, one of "our teens" from Michigan last week. She has been traveling all summer with a group from Crown College geared to help churches that need an extra boost with VBS or whatever they need. Jess, it is so hard to believe you and Dana are graduating this year! How time does fly! We love you both! We have had the awesome privilege of working with some really great teens in several youth groups over the last eight years, and to you, we are so thankful for the memories!

Four Months old!

Well, it's hard to believe, but our Jordan Danielle is four months old tomorrow! We are so thankful to God for our sweet baby. She has been so much fun already-squealing & laughing, especially at Jarrod(it is amazing what he will do for a laugh), getting her toes, chewing on ANYTHING she can get to her mouth. She still loves her bath and of course, she is in love with her bottle, but this rice cereal thing is not going over yet. I must brag(but not too loud in case she hears me and changes her mind), she has been sleeping through the night for six or seven weeks now!Yeah! I know I've mentioned it before, but Jarrod is SO good with her. She just watches him and usually rewards him with a big toothless smile! It's the simple things that are the most precious, don't you agree?

Lots of Stuff

I've been in Virginia the last two weeks, and I have so much catching up to do. Hope you enjoy the pictures!

A couple of weeks ago, we had the privilege of going with Jase's family to hear "Greater Vision" in Indianapolis, Indiana.
They are a singing group that's been such a blessing to us and I'm sure, many others. So many of their songs have been a great encouragement to our hearts. We had such a good time with our family. By the way, if you're looking for a good kid's CD, the children of these guys put one together recently. Jarrod bought one, and he listens to it constantly. Very Good!

My crew ready to go to church

By the way, Jordan is now 3 1/2 months old. Jarrod still adores his sister, and he is so good with her.

Jarrod & Jesse(Jase's little brother) playing in the mud after a thunderstorm.
Several weeks ago, Janie, Alicia, myself and our children met in Indiana for a "Visit". We had three whole days to catch up on life! The kids swam and played. Of course, if anyone knows us, trouble of some sort is bound to follow. The hotel we had reservations for didn't inform us when we checked in that we had no hot water. It was quite an adventure with seven children and only cold baths to offer. It all worked out in the end, but we should have been expecting something like this to happen!
Jarrod, Caleb and Isaiah watching "Uncle Henry" yoke up the team of
oxen at Conner Prairie.
We STILL can get together and laugh until we make ourselves sick!
Love you both! THANKS for the memories!
Jase was able to get the week of the 4th off of work, and he took us to Virginia to see my folks. Jamin, Joy and Jackson surprised everyone by showing up! We had a great time together. Here we all are . . . Dad, Mom, Jada, Jamin, Joy, Jackson, Jase, Me(Jeanene), Jarrod, and Jordan.:0) We know, we like confusing everyone with the "J" names!
Jarrod went with Jase and my dad to work on the Well Drilling crew for the day. He loves anything that digs in dirt and moves.
My Grandpa Umberger with Jordan
Chandra with Jordan and My Aunt Kit
Thanks for ALL the visits from everybody. We had a great time!
Aunt Kit, we are finally enjoying my lemonade.:)
Have a good day, y'all!!!!!

Visit to Virginia

Wow, has it been a while since I've updated or what!
Jarrod, Jordan, and myself were able to hitch a ride with my aunts and cousin, Chandra, to Virginia two weeks ago to see my family. We had a wonderful week. Jada, my sister, was home from college and so we were able to visit with her, as well as my parents, Grandparents, aunts and uncles, and several friends. Jase, unfortunately, couldn't get the time off of work, so we REALLY missed him!

What a full day!

If you have never been to the "Creation Museum" in northern Kentucky, let me recommend that you go when you have the chance. For more information, go to http://www.answersingenesis.org/.

We left early this morning with my family (Jase's) and enjoyed the whole day at the museum.

We watched an incredible planetarium program that left us feeling so small and knowing that our God is so big. We saw several other video productions that were all top notch.

A near life-size replica of an unfinished Noah's ark

A minature of what Noah's ark may have looked like

The message of the museum was distinctly biblical and contained a clear gospel message. We pray that God will continue to bless and use the ministry of "Answers in Genesis"!

We also had the chance to get some good pictures outside.
