Odds and Ends

I apoligize for being so very slow at posting. News has slowed down from the Divens' household. We are still waiting on our move to Ohio.
Jarrod and myself have been to visit my parents in southwestern Virginia a couple of times. Trying to take advantage of being semi-close to them right now (we are about 4 hrs apart). Here are a few pictures while we were away.


I was suprised, but Jarrod did go with Uncle Jamin to the top of the fire tower on Big Walker Lookout. He's braver than I am!

Although there are only three of us "Boyer kids", we rarely are able to get together. Even more rare is getting a picture of us. We all(minus Jase) made it in for the weekend before Jamin and Joy's move to Ohio. I'm very thankful for my brother and sister. Love you guys!
We are all doing well. Enjoyed last weekend celebrating Jase's 30th Birthday. We had my family together last week to make ice cream in his honor. Sunday, the Big Day, we went to Red Robin for Ragin' Cajun Burgers and Dr. Peppers(of course). Yum! Happy Birthday, Sweetheart!!
I saw the doctor again this week. Everything is looking good with the pregnancy. I'm about 17 weeks along, and feeling pretty good. Jase is still doing well with his job. I think things can get a bit monotonous and long for him, but he's doing good. Jarrod is playing just as hard as ever. At this moment, I have a remote control sports car running around my feet. I just want the say thanks to those of you who have been praying for our family. We really appreciate it! Until next time. . .

Just havin' fun

We're waiting to move, but not just sitting around "twiddlin' our thumbs". Here are a couple of things that we've been able to do the last few weeks.

We aren't playin' all the time, but we definitely have enjoyed the times spent together as a family.

Waiting

We're still here. Didn't have much to post the beginning of last week, so I figured I would just wait.

Jarrod and I went to visit my family in southwest Virginia on last Tuesday through Friday and, then my parents brought us back to Richmond Friday and stayed the weekend. We had a lovely time. We did a lot of chatting and I read some. I don't get to do that as much as I like. One night we went to see my Grandparents and family and made icecream. I didn't get in on the cranking this time, but they still let me have some.:) Nothing like it! Saturday we went out for B-B-Q and went downtown Richmond sight-seeing with Mom and Dad. We very much enjoy being with our family. It's never long enough, is it?
Jase decided to get a job in the area as long as we aren't moving right away. Lowe's has hired him as a delivery truck driver. Looks like it could be a decent job. There's even a possibility of a transfer when we do make the move to OH.
Anyway, things ARE moving, just slowly. We have a house inspection tomorrow. Those always make me a little nervous.
Right now, I'm going to go make some cookies with Jarrod. I promised him I would play some Dominoes, too. Hope everyone has a good day!

What can I say, except, "God does answer pray!" We put our house up for sell a week and 3 days ago, and we already have a contract signed with an offer AND a back-up offer to be signed, Lord-willing, on Monday! We have shown the house no less than 17 times & had a "zillion" phone calls! We obviously still have some huge hurdles, but even now, we are just waiting on the Lord to work these things out.

We have worked VERY hard on this house. I mentioned a couple of weeks ago about remodeling. Here are some before and after shots of the family room and kitchen (this is over a year's time). This is only the "tip of the iceburg". Anyway, please continue to pray for us. We have truly seen God work in these situations and now we need to wait on Him.

Changes

Well, I've been putting off this post for a while. I really haven't known how to say ALL that needs to be said. We have MUCH going on in our lives right now.

As some of you that check our teen blog will already know, we are moving away. Our last Sunday at our church and with our beloved teens was 2 weeks ago. We are now in the process of trying to selling our house. I will be perfectly honest, I have really struggled with all of these changes.

Also, Jase and I are expecting a baby in the early spring! Yeah! Jarrod is very excited! When we told him he was going be a big brother, he replied, "In the morning?" No, not quite. I wish.

Anyway, please pray for our family, specifically that the house sells very soon, for our move to be smooth, for our teens and church family(these things can be painful), our baby, and for healing in our own hearts and minds. Jarrod is handling everything very well. We are planning to move up to Ohio near Jase's folks and he couldn't be happier to live near his Mammaw and Papaw D.!
